Job Responsibilities
* Secure and deliver resources successfully at optimum cost to meet project objectives, reporting to the Programme Director.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
* Own and manage team costs, ensuring they meet business targets.
* Prioritize and plan resource allocation in coordination with the wider team.
* Act as the primary point of contact for project resources.
* Monitor project costs and forecasts with the commercial team.
* Ensure resource requirements and costs are correctly attributed.
* Coordinate training and competence development for resources.
* Lead recruitment efforts in collaboration with engineering and HR.
* Allocate subcontractors and internal resources as needed.
* Implement new systems and processes within the programme team.
* Manage investigations, disciplinary actions, safety checks, and general line management duties.
* Ensure workplace assessments are conducted in compliance with legislation and safety standards.
* Lead team meetings, technical briefs, and safety discussions.
* Support continuous improvement strategies.
* Coordinate with authorities for necessary consultations and approvals.
* Oversee onboarding and offboarding of resources.
* Monitor team wellbeing.
* Manage design resource allocations in line with project stages.
* Report on resource progress and requirements to management.
* Ensure site visiting team members complete RAMs and follow access procedures.
* Share lessons learned and best practices for ongoing improvement.
Key Competencies and Experience
Essential
* Proven experience in resource management.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Knowledge of WSP operations and supply chain options.
* Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations.
* Leadership skills to motivate teams.
* Financial and commercial acumen.
Desirable
* Membership of a professional body such as the Association for Project Management.
* Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
* Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of investment processes and procedures.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo security clearance prior to appointment.
