Key Responsibilities
:
1. Manage a varied caseload of high-quality construction disputes, including multimillion-pound matters, acting for developers, contractors, housebuilders, housing associations and consultants. Work spans sectors including housing, infrastructure, renewables, healthcare, education, retail, and specialist facilities, covering issues such as defects, delays, extensions of time, liquidated damages and loss/expense.
2. Advise on complex adjudication and litigation (including Pre-Action Protocol work) and provide strategic, practical dispute resolution solutions, including mediation, with an emphasis on early resolution.
Experience Required:
3. Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), ideally with experience handling construction disputes or a construction training seat (contentious).
4. Strong interest in contentious work, adjudication, and litigation.
5. Commercially aware, able to provide practical, client-focused advice
6. Confident managing a caseload under minimal supervision.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
8. Ambitious to learn and progress within construction law.
