We have a fantastic opportunity to support our students by joining our expanding Construction department as a Student Intervention and Liaison Officer.
This is an important role for the department where you will manage a caseload of students and support the academic success of individual students by providing personal support following referral from curriculum teams.
Responsibilities include:
1. SMART target setting to support the student achievement
2. Referral to other support services as appropriate
3. Contributing to student progression and career plans.
4. Ensure the Construction department students are supported and that associated policies and statutory guidance are adhered to and understood across all areas of responsibility.
5. Support the application of the provisions Positive Behaviour policy.
6. Minimise disruption to learning and teaching by ensuring high expectations and standards with regard to compliant behaviour and behaviour for learning in line with the provisions Positive Behaviour Policy.
7. Ensure the accurate and timely recording of behaviour incidents and interventions.
8. Ensure students are punctual to lessons and move safely around the building.
9. To have an overview of the students’ punctuality and attendance ensuring parents/carers and partner school/organisations are informed and involved.
10. Undertake proactive and reactive meetings with students (and their tutors and parents/carers where relevant) related to addressing issues of behaviour and provision standards.
