Job Description
You will be a key member of our site team, responsible for the technical and quality control of civil engineering works. Your role will involve:
* Setting out and conducting surveys to ensure all work is carried out to the highest level of accuracy, in line with engineering drawings and project specifications.
* Managing and supervising subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
* Inspecting and auditing work on-site, implementing quality assurance procedures, and preparing comprehensive daily reports.
* Acting as the primary point of contact for technical queries on site, collaborating closely with the design team and other stakeholders.
* Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and promoting our "safety first" culture.
* Maintaining detailed records of all site activities, including progress, materials, and resources.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
* A minimum of 3 experience as a Site Engineer on significant civil engineering projects, specifically with a focus on highways, road construction, or related infrastructure.
* Proficiency in setting out using total stations and GPS equipment.
* A solid understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and health and safety legislation.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
* CSCS card and other relevant certifications.
