About the apprenticeship
Duties
* Learn Core Quality tools including 8D, Ishikawa, 5 whys.
* Learn to interpret Engineering Drawings and CAD models.
* Learn to perform product inspection using a variety of metrology equipment, including CMM, 3D digital scanning, micrometers, vernier calipers and gauges.
* Learn to perform gauge calibration to the required industry standards.
* Gain a basic knowledge of metallurgical properties of various materials and test/inspection processes.
* Learn and gain best practice (APQP) Quality Procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
Essential – 5 GCSEs grade A* to C. This must include a B, or above, in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language)* Ability to take ownership of the working environment.
* Be able to naturally maintain an infectious positive attitude.
* Feel passion towards their work/Engineering, be driven and self-motivated.
* Show the ability to be able to make confident decisions in a working environment.
