Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Room Supervisor to oversee the well-being and development of children in our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. This role requires effective communication with both staff and parents, ensuring that each child's needs are met in a nurturing environment. The Room Supervisor will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations, fostering a positive atmosphere, and promoting the overall growth of children under our care.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage staff in your room, providing guidance and support to staff members.
* Develop and implement educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment.
* Oversee daily operations, with the deputy managers and nursery manager.
* Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
* Monitor children's development and maintain accurate records of their progress.
* Organise activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
Requirements
* Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
* Worked as a Team Lead or Supervisor in another nursery for at least 2 years.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
* Knowledge of nursery practices and regulations is advantageous.
* Experience working with children in various capacities is preferred.
* Minimum of a level 3 qualification in Childcare is needed to apply.
