We’re looking for an experienced and driven Food and Beverage Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage department. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all bar, dining, and service operations within the clubhouse. You’ll be responsible for managing staffing levels, rotas, stock control, supplier relationships, pricing strategy, GP targets, team training and development, and ensuring a consistently high standard of service across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
• Oversee all daily F&B operations, including bar, restaurant, and function service
• Manage rotas and staffing levels to reflect peak and off-peak periods efficiently
• Set and review bar pricing and monitor GP margins to ensure profitability
• Take ownership of stock ordering, stock rotation, and supplier management
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, food hygiene, and health and safety regulations
• Actively lead from the front, providing floor support during peak times and events
• Maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards throughout all F&B spaces
• Monitor equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs where required
Team Management & Development
• Lead and motivate the food and beverage team, including supervisors and casual staff
• Deliver in-house training programmes to enhance service delivery and compliance
• Oversee performance reviews, identify development needs, and ensure team progression
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and team culture building
Customer Service
• Ensure all members and guests receive a consistently outstanding experience
• Handle any complaints or feedback in a professional, timely, and solutions-focused manner
• Support private events, functions, and tournaments with tailored F&B service
• Monitor and report on sales performance, margins, and wastage
• Work with the senior management team to set and achieve revenue targets
• Maintain cost control through effective stock and labour management
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a similar Food and Beverage Manager role
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on attitude
• Commercially aware with experience in pricing, stock control, and supplier negotiation
• Excellent knowledge of hospitality standards, health & safety, and licensing laws
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-departmentally
• Personal Licence Holder (preferred)
• First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates (desirable)
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and events as required
