Central Recruitment is working with a prominent national homelessness charity, whose work includes supporting and accommodating young people.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach to work in the Didsbury area at a 12-bed service providing support to young people aged 16-25 to help them move from hostel living to their own independent accommodation.
* 37.5 hours per week
* Monday - Friday (rota basis)
* Shifts: 07:30 - 15:00 and 14:30 - 22:00 (rotating weekly between early and late shifts)
* Temporary: approximately 2 months, with the possibility of extension
* £15.59 per hour (£13.91 per hour + £1.68 holiday pay)

Key responsibilities:
* Hold a caseload of 6 key clients, delivering regular key work sessions with SMART outcomes-based support plans
* Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients, following safeguarding and emergency procedures
* Deliver 1:1 and group support opportunities aimed at increasing resilience
* Work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams
* Provide flexible, personalised and client-centred support
* Support clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities
* Maintain a safe environment through health and safety checks and reporting
* Prepare rooms for new clients and support them to settle into the service
* Support and facilitate the work of the volunteers
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness
* Understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, mental health and substance misuse
* Knowledge of risk assessments and support planning
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures
* Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
Further requirements:
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Current valid right to work in the UK
* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)
* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
