Position
Responsible for safe implementation of OEG Renewables policies and procedures at site/shift level on various offshore wind projects. Taking a leading role in, mobilising, execution, and demobilising of statutory inspection work scopes on the Siemens 6.0 DD model WTG. Maintaining team performance in line with industry, client, project, and company requirements. Motion Kinetic Software to monitor and track company and customer assets deployed on project. As Team Lead you will be responsible for small teams.
The role requires the team leader to assist in the implementation of company and project policies and procedures acting as the client liaison taking part in briefing/debriefings on daily offshore progress and planning.
Certifications - Required
* Have passed and able to pass WTG owner WTSR Limited Authorisation Panel for Siemens 6.0 DD model WTG
* OEUK Medical
* Chester Step with a score of “Good” or higher
* GWO BST including Sea Survival
* GWO Enhanced First Aid
* GWO Advanced Rescue Training
* Wind Turbine Safety Rules
* TMSE Inspection
* BAFE Fire Extinguisher Inspection
* DEMAG DS10 & Rail I & M Certificate
* Avanti XL I & M Certificate
* Experience with Palfinger PF8000 Davit Cranes is beneficial
* Siemens SICS Hand Controller e-learning / training to support authorisation
* Lead Statutory Inspection Workscopes which will include hub entry
* Demonstrable experience / competence within a similar role
* Full clean driving licence
Duties and Responsibilities:
General
* Ensure team members are sufficiently equipped for statutory inspection projects
* Management of project tooling and equipment
* Management of project consumable stock items such as inspection tags and oils/greases
* Daily reporting and inspection/checklists
* Implementing OEG Renewables & client safe systems of work
Inspection
* Conducting thorough examinations in line with local legislation such as LOLER and PUWER
* Fire Extinguisher Inspection
* TMSE Inspections
* PFPE Inspections
* Loose Lifting Equipment Inspections
* Inspection of Hydraulic systems (PRV’s and accumulators)
* Inspection and Load Testing of WTG nacelle cranes
* Inspection and Load Testing of Davit Cranes using water weights
* Inspection and Load Testing of man riding lifts
Maintenance
* Able to service and maintain service lifts and cranes listed in “Certification – Required” section above
* Able to troubleshoot faults and remedy
* Able to conduct component exchange such as crane wires etc
Leadership
* Managing current contractors and employee technicians with support from department manager
* Managing company reporting on a site level
* Supporting project manager in tooling and solution delivery
* Creation of PDF documents
* Management of project tooling and equipment files
* Management of Motion Kinetic & My Compliance systems at site level
Health & Safety
* Complete required AWP’s & ROP’s to establish general safety for work party
* Supervision of other team members
* Promote a safe culture on site
* Challenge unsafe acts, encourage technicians to do the same and to offer suggestions for improvement
* Follow and promote adherence to the most recent OEG Renewables safe systems of work
* Chair TBT’s
* Work with project management to improve safety arrangements
* Play an active part in the safety reporting system
* Encourage team members to contribute to the safety reporting system
* Follow and encourage adherence with the site rules
Quality Control
* Daily checking of project reports to ensure the correct certification has been created and reports completed correctly
* Logging of all process nonconformities
* Take an active role in the continual improvement of OEG Renewables quality system and standards
Environmental
* Dispose of waste in accordance with waste management procedures
Desirable
* Relevant vocational training such as apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical discipline
* LEEA Foundation – Working towards LEEA General
