About the Role
As an Advanced Practitioner in the Kinship Fostering Team, you will:
* Assess, support, supervise, and train Kinship Foster Carers and their families.
* Help carers provide trauma-informed care to children and young people.
* Complete full assessments for fostering panel and court.
* Provide effective supervision, advice, and guidance to carers.
* Work closely with the team around the child to support permanency planning.
* Be involved in support groups, carer events, and training, including some evening and weekend work.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of three years’ experience working with children and families.
* Registered with Social Work England and compliant with professional standards.
* Proven assessment skills, with the ability to meet tight timescales for panel presentations and court proceedings.
* Strong relationship-building skills with both carers and children.
* Ability to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns effectively and in line with statutory guidance.
* Commitment to multi-agency working, ensuring holistic support to meet children’s needs.
* Possession of a full UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
* A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
