We are looking for a dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school environment.
This is a full-time role with an immediate or January start, working with secondary-aged students (11–16) in an alternative provision setting.
Your role will be to provide tailored support that promotes engagement, confidence, and independence in learning. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to deliver personalised strategies that help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Your Responsibilities
As an Autism Teaching Assistant, your role will include:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to students who need help with communication, social interaction, and learning
* Assisting teachers in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Implementing strategies to encourage engagement and participation in lessons
* Supporting students in developing resilience, confidence, and independence
* Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure consistent support

What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, ideally supporting children with additional needs
* A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to learning support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence – due to the rural location, driving is essential
