Assistant to the Head of Learning Support

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant to the Head of Learning Support to join their vibrant team. This role is essential for supporting the strategic development and coordination of high-quality Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision within their independent boarding school, which specialises in dyslexia and related specific learning difficulties.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Head of Learning Support and wider team, ensuring effective communication and organisation.Maintain detailed and accurate records of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure timely and compliant documentation.Liaise sensitively with parents, external agencies, and Local Authorities, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration.Assist in the preparation, tracking, and submission of EHCP paperwork and lead annual review meetings as allocated.Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to optimise pupil outcomes, working closely with specialist staff.The ideal candidate will possess:
Qualifications in Dyslexia or SpLD, or relevant experience in SEND.Strong organisational and time-management skills, with an ability to prioritise effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to engage with a range of stakeholders.A secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive classroom practices.Experience in administrative processes related to SEND and knowledge of EHCP procedures.Benefits on offer:
