The Teaching Assistant will work under the direction of the Head of Juniors and in line with the needs of classroom teachers to:
1. Support the delivery of learning for each pupil to enable them to reach their potential, working with individual pupils, small groups, or within a whole class setting to support high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil progress.
2. Actively uphold the values and ethos of the school in all interactions with pupils, and model the expected behaviours.
3. Respond to the specific learning needs of pupils.
4. Proactively manage pupil behaviour and supervise pupils during lunch and break times as required.
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or teaching) qualification is essential.
Qualifications or experience supporting English and Maths are desirable, and candidates ideally will have experience supporting children of junior school age.
This is a permanent position.
