What you’ll be doing
* Develop and implement lifting plans and procedures for various construction projects.
* Establish, implement and provide guidance, training and management in best practice Lifting matters.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place for lifting activities, in compliance with UK HSE and OSHA regulations.
* Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and crane operators to schedule lifting operations in accordance with project timelines.
* Manage and improve blu-3 Lifting process.
* Inspect lifting equipment regularly and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and certified, meeting LOLER requirements.
* Support site management teams to ensure compliance with Construction HSE and lifting Plans, assisting in their development.
* Develop and implement Lifting campaigns and improvement plans with management approval.
* Ensure personnel awareness of statutory and local duties, providing guidance as needed.
* Carry out inspections/audits to ensure work complies with company policies and statutory provisions.
* Assist in accident/incident investigations, analyzing data and recommending preventive measures.
* Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure compliance.
* Stay updated on industry developments and HSE regulation changes related to lifting operations.
* Promote lifting best practices and standards, contributing to new standard development.
* Uphold the blu-3 Vision, Mission & Values.
* Perform any other reasonable duties assigned.
* Participate in learning and development activities as directed by management.
* Work in accordance with HSE and other legal requirements.
* Engage in performance reviews and strive for continual improvement.
* Handle sensitive matters confidentially, understanding GDPR requirements.

What we’re looking for
* Recognized certificate/diploma.
* A61 Appointed Person Blue Card with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
* Proven experience in a similar construction role, especially in lifting operations.
* Deep knowledge of UK HSE regulations, LOLER, and relevant legislation.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation.
* Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
* Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
* Excellent presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
* Trainer or equivalent qualification.
