Occupational Therapist (9 Month Fixed term Contract)

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will work under supervision to provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and plan, review, and facilitate evidence‑based group and individual programmes. You will be part of a dedicated team at Chadwick Lodge, helping service users develop their recovery skills through specialist treatment programs. Your responsibilities include maintaining contemporaneous records and adhering to professional and service standards. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to research, plan, and evaluate specific projects while supporting the planning, evaluation and audit of clinical pathways and protocols.
Job responsibilities
Under supervision, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating evidence‑based group and individual programmes. You will create individual rapports with service users to empower recovery.
* Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes.
* Identifying and actioning referrals both in‑house, including support staff, and to external agencies.
* Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols.
* Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.
To be successful in this role
* A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* A UK HCPC registration or applied for.
* Evidence of the ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups.

Location: Chadwick Drive (off Saxon Street), Eaglestone, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK6 5LS

The hospital’s consultant‑led multidisciplinary team has a wealth of clinical and research experience in forensic psychiatry.
