Position: Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist / CBT Therapist in Pain Management
This role offers an opportunity to join the Enfield Pain Service, supporting patients with long-term pain conditions such as chronic lower back pain, fibromyalgia, etc. The service focuses on understanding pain and developing management skills to enhance quality of life. The team includes medical, physiotherapy, and psychology professionals, with supervision from a Band 8a psychologist.
Experience in long-term health conditions is advantageous but not essential; training and support will be provided. Responsibilities include psychological assessment, individual and group interventions based on CBT, ACT, and CFT, service evaluation, supervising an assistant psychologist, and liaising with other services.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide specialist psychological assessment
2. Deliver 1:1 psychological interventions based on CBT, ACT, and CFT
3. Co-facilitate and develop group pain management programmes
4. Contribute to outcome data collection and analysis
5. Offer psychological care advice to colleagues and carers
6. Utilize research skills for audit and research

Education & professional qualifications
* Post-graduate doctoral training in Counselling or Clinical Psychology with BPS accreditation and HCPC registration
* OR Level 2 Accredited CBT course (High Intensity IAPT) with BABCP accreditation
