The Role
We are seeking a Junior Product Development & Research Manager to act as the operational right hand to our Head of R&D.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role embedded within the product development pipeline. You will coordinate formulation progress, explore emerging technologies and ingredients, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that every product meets the highest scientific and experiential standards.
If you instinctively read INCI lists, follow clinical beauty innovation closely, and take pride in precision and execution - this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Project Management
* Own and maintain R&D trackers, timelines, and formulation milestones with exceptional accuracy
* Coordinate with contract manufacturers and suppliers, managing feedback loops and development cycles
* Oversee logistics of samples, packaging prototypes, and lab materials across a global supply chain
Ingredient & Competitive Intelligence
* Conduct deep research into novel actives, delivery systems, and formulation trends
* Monitor global clinical and luxury beauty markets, analysing launches, claims, and category shifts
Research & Operational Support
* Prepare technical briefs, clinical summaries, and structured presentations
* Support R&D and supplier meetings with clear documentation and follow-through
* Translate complex scientific concepts into accessible, brand-aligned language
The Profile
* Degree in Cosmetic Science, Life Sciences, Project Management, or similar
* Highly detail-oriented across data, documentation, and product quality
* Comfortable in fast-paced, startup environments with a proactive mindset
* Strong appreciation for the intersection of science and luxury—where efficacy and experience are equally critical
