About The Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure the production requirements of work orders and production schedules are met in line with the Company’s work instructions, quality standards, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and edit existing CNC programs, selecting the correct tooling to complement alterations within the process.
* Upload/download programs, set machines, and monitor/inspect production; adjust tool offsets and operate the machine until the batch is complete.
* Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and replace tooling when necessary to ensure correct operation.
* Produce components accurate to the drawing.
* Ensure all work tasks, procedures, and documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001.
* Ensure paperwork is complete accurately and in a timely manner.
* Take responsibility for the work area, maintaining high standards of housekeeping at all times.
* Demonstrate a good team‑working ethic and commitment to the highest quality standards.
* Always follow health and safety requirements.
Shared Responsibilities
* Comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out duties.
* Ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors, and contractors by implementing, monitoring, and complying with occupational health & safety provisions.

Education / Qualifications
* Good standard of secondary education.
* College qualification in an engineering discipline or NVQ is desirable.
Related Experience
* Industry experience of a working machine shop is essential.
* Mid/High volume manufacturing experience is desirable.
* Ideally milling experience.
Essential Skills
* Time‑served apprenticeship.
* CNC Machine Centre experience.
Desirable Skills
* Experience working with machines such as Mazak machining centres.
* Understanding of SPC.
