Stanley Primary School, located in Blackpool, is a vibrant and inclusive primary school serving approximately 600 pupils aged 4 to 11. Our school has consistently been rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with the most recent inspection in November 2023 highlighting our strong curriculum, exemplary pupil behaviour, and effective safeguarding practices.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working closely with class teachers to provide targeted interventions and support for pupils with diverse needs. They will also supervise whole classes for cover purposes & short-term absences of teachers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success and development of our school community.
Applicants should have relevant experience and a proven record showing ability to:
- Have energy, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to use initiative
- Demonstrate good organisational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build good relationships with children, parents, staff, and the wider community
- Demonstrate a wide knowledge and application of behavioural strategies, and how to implement these effectively to meet individual children's needs
- Plan, prepare, and deliver learning to individuals, groups, and/or classes, modifying activities as necessary
- Assess, record, and report on development, progress, and attainment
- The post holder will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance
