The Role
We are seeking an experienced Director to join our Accounting department. This senior role combines strategic leadership, directorship responsibilities, and client advisory. The role does not include audit or assurance responsibilities, focusing instead on accounting, business advisory, and supporting the growth of the Firm.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a director for the Firm and clients, providing leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight of accounting services.
* Lead and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective business advisory.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for key clients.
* Mentor, supervise, and develop junior staff to foster technical expertise and professional growth.
* Contribute to the Firm’s strategic planning, business development, governance, and operational decision‑making.
* Ensure adherence to UK GAAP, regulatory requirements, and Firm policies.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA qualified with minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience in an accounting practice.
* Holds a General Practising Certificate (GPC).
* Proven experience in client management, leadership, and team development.
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax, and business advisory.
* Demonstrable ability to act in a directorial capacity, providing strategic guidance to clients.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Commitment to maintaining the Firm’s professional and ethical standards.
* Fee‑following is helpful but not essential.
