Junior Information Security Analyst – Risk & Compliance Salary - Competitive Remote/ Hybrid to local HF office if desired Fixed Term Contract – 9 Months We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Information Security Analyst within our Risk & Compliance team based remotely. As a Junior Information Security Analyst, you will s upport the Information Security function in maintaining and enhancing the firm’s security posture. You will assist in monitoring security alerts, supporting reporting activities, and acting as the first point of contact for general security queries. You will also contribute to the upkeep of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), ISO27001 certification, and risk management processes. You will be required to take on a number of specific Information Security projects involving the enhancement of the security toolsets and services and advising the Head of Information Security on any improvements that can be made. What will I be doing ? Monitor and review alerts from security tooling, escalating issues where appropriate. Monitor and action incidents and requests in the Information Security Service Now queues, escalating issues and concerns to the Head of Information Security. Act as the first point of contact for general Information Security queries, providing advice and escalating when necessary. Assist in the preparation of monthly Board reports and IT Town Hall presentation slides for Information Security. Occasionally present Information Security updates at the IT Town Hall. Investigate specified security toolsets and produce reports with recommendations for service improvements. Support the maintenance of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO27001 certification. Collaborate with other IT and business teams to ensure security best practices are followed. Help document and improve internal security processes and procedures. What do I need? An excellent level of IT skills and a basic understanding of cybersecurity principles. Experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel. A team player with a positive 'can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage workload effectively, organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Knowledge of Service Now A keen interested in Security Familiarity with ISO27001, NIST or other security frameworks (desirable but not essential). Previous experience in an IT or security-related role (internship or entry-level) is a plus. What’s in it for you?
