The Role
* Providing strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Science department
* Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching in your specialism
* Leading curriculum planning, assessment, and quality assurance across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
* Line managing and supporting teaching staff and technicians
* Driving consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes
* Supporting enrichment, intervention, and progression into STEM pathways
* Contributing to whole-school leadership and improvement initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in a Science-related subject
* Proven experience teaching Science up to KS5
* Demonstrable leadership experience within a Science department
* Strong curriculum knowledge and a track record of excellent results
* High expectations for staff performance, pupil behaviour, and achievement
* A confident, organised, and forward-thinking leadership style
