ROLE: Quality Inspector
LOCATION: Stevenage
SALARY: £30,000 £35,000 per annum
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a high-technology manufacturing operation producing complex, high-precision components for the aerospace and defence sectors. This role is based within a modern production facility and plays a critical part in ensuring products meet stringent customer, regulatory, and industry standards. The position offers a hands-on environment where quality, compliance, and continuous improvement are central to daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections on precision-engineered components.
2. Verify dimensional and geometric conformity using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
3. Carry out CMM inspections and analyse results to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and GD&T requirements (training can be provided if needed).
4. Produce and maintain quality documentation including FAIRs, ISIRs, and inspection records in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
5. Identify and manage non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
