Mission
We are on a mission to raise the standard of education for young people with SEND and SEMH needs, supporting those with MLD, SLD, PMLD, etc. Your role will transform lives in the community.
Responsibilities
* Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
* Support the SEND Support Team, ensuring a strong team around the student.
* Engage in CPD and employee mentoring through the TES CPD suite and professional mentor access.
* Participate in community and company events for knowledge sharing and resources.
* Use the referral programme to earn rewards for successful tutor referrals.
* Ensure safeguarding and a safe learning environment during sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
* 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD in a holistic and trauma‑informed manner.
* Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
* Enhanced DBS (facilitated if needed) and 2+ professional references.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
* Relevant experience roles: SENDCo, SLD/MLD Teacher, Autism/ADHD Support Teacher, Intervention Specialist/Tutor, Ex‑Teacher, Learning Support Assistant/TA, Educational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist (SALT), Educational Psychologist, Inclusion Coordinator.
Location & Compensation
Hebburn, Tyne & Wear. £28 – £35 per hour. Contract.
