SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools
Location: Chesterfield
Days: Minimum 3 days per week
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work across a range of primary school settings in Chesterfield, supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children's lives. You will be supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties
Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies
Providing emotional, behavioural, and academic support
Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Experience supporting children with additional needs, either in a school, care, youth work, residential, or similar setting
A patient, caring, and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential
Availability for at least 3 days per week
