An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Child and Family support Worker to join our Childrens Reception Team at Hampshire County Council.
The Role:
This role is a great opportunity to join Hampshire County Council if you have experience of working with children and families. You will be based in the busy Children's Reception Team processing new referrals in respect of vulnerable children and young people from within the contact centre.
What you'll do:
:Process new referrals that are received via telephone, emails, Inter Agency referral forms
:Use a person:centred approach to analyse the risks and strengths presented towards children, young people and their families
:Make sound recommendations based on the referral information received in line with the Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board and Children's Trust Thresholds Chart and confidently identify the risks and strengths
:Working in partnership with children, parents, carers and professionals
What we're looking for:
:Understanding of child protection legislation, statutory guidance (e.g., Working Together to Safeguard Children), and local safeguarding procedures
:Experience of providing services to children and/or families with complex needs
:Demonstrates core values of patience, empathy, and compassion
:A team player with strong collaborative skills
:Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with a diverse range of people, including clients, their families, carers, professionals and colleagues
:Capability to work flexibly in an inclusive and non:discriminatory manner
:Sound IT skills and able to accurately record information
