We’re seeking a Secondary Behaviour Support Assistant to work across schools in Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), supporting pupils who require additional guidance with behaviour, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement. You will: • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs • Use calm, consistent de-escalation strategies to manage incidents safely and effectively • Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage emotional regulation and engagement • Support pupils both in class and through targeted interventions outside of lessons • Liaise closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to deliver individual support plans About You: We’re looking for someone who: • Has experience supporting young people with behavioural or emotional needs (essential) • Can drive and is comfortable travelling between schools across RCT (essential) • Remains calm, confident, and professional in challenging situations • Is proactive, patient, and committed to helping students achieve their potential • Brings transferable experience from youth work, residential care, sports coaching, or similar roles What You’ll Need: • EWC registration (School Learning Support Worker category) • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply) • Two recent professional references Don’t have everything yet?
