Job Overview
We are looking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and fun Saxophone Tutor to join our Music School to teach lessons in students homes in the Surrey area as well as in local schools.
We offer lessons in 30, 45 or 60 minute time slots.
The successful candidate is able to set their own prices for private lessons, the company takes 15% commission.
Experience in teaching is desirable, but not essential.
This role is self-employed, and the successful candidate will be responsible for all his/her taxes. All advertising and paperwork, including invoices, with students is done for you by the Company.
This role requires an enhanced DBS, so if you are successful in this role, please be prepared to pay for one if you do not already have one.
As the role is for a mobile position, having access to a car is desirable but not essential.
Duties
* Teach students saxophone lessons, tailoring lessons to meet individual learning styles and needs. Experience in preparing students for music exams is desirable.
* Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment.
* Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to enhance understanding.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to provide feedback on student performance and areas for improvement.
* Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
Skills
* Strong background in saxophone.
* Experience working with children is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and engage students.
* Patience and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners.
* A passion for your instrument and commitment to help students succeed.
