Role: Family Worker
Permanent/ 37 Hours per week.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm however ideally applicants must be flexible due to the demands of the role
Location: County Wide Role. Applicants must have their own Transport and be willing to travel within the role. Working within County Durham Drug and Alcohol Services and The One Point Hubs.

About The Role:
To deliver a range of high quality direct and indirect services to support the needs of children, young people, parents, carers and families in relation to problematic substance use and recovery, through assessments, group work facilitation, recovery planning, case management and one to one interventions.

Key Duties:
* Conduct initial triage and comprehensive assessments with young people, parents & carers.
* Work closely with colleagues across the treatment system to ensure identification of appropriate parents, children, young people and families for Family Inclusion Work. This includes publicising the service to colleagues, attending team meetings, undertaking joint assessments and joint support work where appropriate.
* Work collaboratively with external partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
* Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community.
