An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to support the current resuscitation service as a bank resuscitation officer. The successful candidate(s) will work alongside the substantive resuscitation officers to deliver the Trust's mandatory training.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate(s) will deliver Resuscitation Council UK Immediate Life Support, Paediatric Immediate Life Support, and Basic Life Support in line with CSFH level 2. Most courses are held at Carlisle or Whitehaven, so the candidate's base will be at one of these locations.

The successful candidate(s) will be subject to a DBS check if the role is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The cost of the DBS check will be deducted from salary.

* Standard Check: £27.40 (£21.50 + £5.90 administration)
* Enhanced Check: £55.40 (£49.50 + £5.90 administration)

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Healthcare Professional or Registered Nurse
* ILS/PILS provider certificate
* Degree or equivalent experience
* EPALS or APLS Instructor certification
* Advanced Life Support Instructor (ALS)
* Intravascular Access Trained (Interosseous)
Knowledge
* Experience of teaching and current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines
* CPD evidence
* Experience in simulation training and feedback
* Previous Resuscitation Officer experience
Skills
* Expertise in resuscitation and deteriorating patient management
* Ability to teach and motivate staff
* Effective communication skills
* IT proficiency (MS Office, Outlook)
* Self-motivated and professional team player
* Knowledge of organisational values
* Experience in investigating concerns and performance management
