Real Estate Finance Paralegal

About the Role
We are working with a leading UK law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across a broad range of property and finance matters. The firm offers a supportive, collaborative working environment and works with a diverse client base including investors, corporate clients, and private individuals in the UK and internationally.
An opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Finance Paralegal to join the Property team. The successful candidate will support fee earners on a range of property finance and real estate transactions, working across both residential and commercial matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with a variety of property transactions including:
* Freehold and leasehold matters
* New build purchases
* Remortgages
* Transfers of equity
* Lease extensions
* Supporting fee earners through exchange and completion processes
* Opening and managing client files, ensuring accurate and timely file maintenance
* Assisting with AML compliance and onboarding procedures
* Preparing and submitting SDLT returns
* Handling Companies House filings where required
* Submitting HM Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions
* Managing post-completion requirements for leasehold transactions
* Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently
* Supporting file closing and general administrative duties
Requirements
* Minimum 12 months’ experience working as a property paralegal
* Strong understanding of residential property and/or real estate finance transactions
* Experience with SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
* Familiarity with post-completion procedures, particularly in leasehold matters
* Exposure to Companies House filings is desirable
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and third parties
* Ability to manage competing deadlines in a busy conveyancing environment
