About the Role
As a Support Worker you will work individually and with a team to enable members to live as independently as possible. You will collaborate with the employment team to facilitate employment opportunities and help members enjoy an active social life. Full‑time work (37.5 hours per week) is required.
You will be required to provide personal or supported care and work flexible hours between 07:00 and 22:00, including weekends, sleep‑ins and bank holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist and support social, health and personal care.
* Assist with mobility, using wheelchairs and hoists as required.
* Enable members to live independently and develop skills, such as shopping and domestic tasks like cooking & cleaning.
* Support members in observing Jewish Culture and achieving goals linked to the Kisharon Langdon mission.
* Help design and develop support/care plans.
* Help members form relationships and wider social networks.
* Support at mealtimes and with social activities, including music and art therapy.
* Attend appointments and maintain health and wellbeing.
* Promote and adhere to workplace values (Respect, Integrity, Community, Excellence).
About You

* Qualified candidates must have an Ofqual QCF (NVQ) Level 3 qualification or higher in Health & Social Care.
* Confident with dealing with challenging behaviours and providing personal care.
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of written English.
* Experience with adults with learning disabilities or autism is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Possession of a UK driving licence and vehicle access is desirable but not essential.
* Willing to work shifts as part of a rota, including weekend, bank holiday and sleep‑in duties.
* Team player delivering person‑centric service.
* Flexible in approach to work.
