Working closely with the Head Chef, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, while ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving daily menus.
Supervise kitchen staff and support their training and development.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
Contribute to menu development, incorporating fresh, seasonal, and healthy ingredients.
Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships.
Support catering for special events, functions, and dietary requirements.
Candidate Profile Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as a Chef de Partie.
Passionate about producing fresh, healthy, and balanced meals.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management.
Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Contract Options 44 weeks (term-time): Ideal for those seeking school holidays off.
