Primary Responsibilities:
1. Performs venipuncture following infection control protocols.
2. Maintains knowledge of routine container requirements and minimum volumes for specimen collection.
3. Identifies and labels specimens accurately.
4. Collects and verifies demographic information.
5. Updates insurance information as needed.
6. Verifies patient eligibility and flags appointments accordingly.
7. Conducts outreach to patients requiring appointments and contacts patients who 'no show.'
8. Scans and indexes documents into the EHR.
9. Manages patient appointments according to approved protocols.
10. Follows standing orders consistent with practice policies and procedures.
11. Documents all patient interactions and clinical activities accurately and promptly in the EHR.
12. Schedules tests, treatments, and follow-up visits for patients.
13. In coordination with Regional Nurse Managers, oversees temperature monitoring.
14. Assists the care team to ensure smooth office operations and excellent service through teamwork.
15. Provides attentive care to build patient confidence, trust, and loyalty.
16. Demonstrates respect for patients and staff by maintaining a friendly, courteous manner and patient confidentiality.
17. Maintains open communication with the care team and Regional Management.
18. Stays informed about current coding, OSHA, and CLIA regulations and company policies.
19. Adheres to all patient safety initiatives and infection control regulations.
20. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. National certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
The hourly rate for this role ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, based on full-time employment. Compensation considers factors such as local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
