The Berkshire Healthcare CYPIT serviceis an integrated childrens therapy service shaped around the needs of thechild and family operating within the Children, Families and All Age ServicesDivision (CFAA). We are structured within integrated teams consisting of Speechand Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, as wellas a strong integrated therapy assistant team based in locality areas withinEast Berkshire strategically focused on phases of life. We work closelytogether to ensure we have the greatest therapeutic impact, working bothdirectly and indirectly with children, young people and families to enable themto achieve their goals.
Main duties of the job
* Work alongside the CYPIT leadership team and CYPIT clinicians to plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the CYPIT services you are responsible for, ensuring that performance targets are met.
* Propose and then work with others within the relevant CFAA teams to develop and implement strategies to reduce clinical and safeguarding risk, improve quality and clinical effectiveness within service provided by the team.
* Investigate, interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate clinical diagnosis, evaluation and prognosis as part of the comprehensive assessment of patients, in a wide range of highly complex conditions and to recommend the best course of intervention, where opinions may differ.
* Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
* Participate in clinical audit, within your given service area, to measure the effectiveness of services & identify gaps in service provision and standards and in conjunction with relevant colleagues to formulate action plans to address any shortfalls.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist, registered with HCPC.
Experience
* Completion of post graduate education relevant to clinical role of post.
* Evidence of experience in clinical work in childrens services to a level of in-depth knowledge and expertise.
