Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in TESOL and Applied Linguistics

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in TESOL and Applied Linguistics to join a team of seventeen Languages and Linguistics academics within the School of Education, Language and Psychology. The successful candidate will lead our TESOL provision and take on programme leadership roles for our flagship English Language and Linguistics, and English Language, Linguistics and TESOL programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching undergraduate TESOL and Applied Linguistics courses, including small group tutorials, seminars, and lectures.
* Assessing student work and providing pastoral and academic support.
* Leading the TESOL provision and programme leadership for English Language and Linguistics programmes.
* Involving students in research through the 'Students-as-Researchers' scheme.
* Developing a solid research profile and engaging in research networks in TESOL.
Key Requirements
* Doctoral level qualification and active engagement in research.
* Expertise in TESOL and Applied Linguistics at undergraduate level and ideally at master’s level.
* Experience with programme/course leadership, particularly in TESOL, and experience of externally accredited TESOL programmes.
* Involvement in community language learning initiatives; CELTA or DELTA qualification preferred.
* Research interest in Applied Linguistics and social justice issues would be an advantage.
