Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages children's development and learning through play and exploration. This role is working in our Dawn (0-2 year) Room which holds 15 babies daily. Our ethos has a huge push on outdoor play and frequent outings so candidate must be willing to go outdoors in all weathers. This is set hours which are negotiable but currently looking at Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30-16:30.
Duties
* Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-2 years.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all children, promoting their emotional and social development.
* Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience, sharing best practices and resources.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment that reflects the interests of the children.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years standards.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 3 Diploma or equivalent).
* Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for early years education, with the ability to inspire creativity and curiosity in young learners. We welcome applications from individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children during their formative years.
