A well established organisation with a rapidly expanding UK and Ireland estate is continuing to invest in the growth of its Facilities team. Due to ongoing site openings and refurbishment projects, they are now seeking experienced Electricians to support sites predominantly across the North of England and Scotland.
Your new role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of existing sites as well as supporting the fit out of new locations. This is a mobile, home based role covering Greater Manchester, with regular travel across the North of England and Scotland, and occasional travel to other regions within the UK and Ireland.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, testing, and installations
2. Supporting electrical fit outs, refurbishments, and extensions
3. Ensuring all worksply with current electrical regulations and standards
4. Assisting subcontractors attending site for planned or preventative maintenance
5. Carrying out regular PAT testing and maintaining associated documentation
6. Testing emergency lighting, generators, and related systems
7. Raising material requisitions and maintaining accurate stock records
8. Executing work schedules efficiently and submitting job sheets weekly
9. Conducting monthly site walk rounds to identify maintenance requirements
10. Supporting audits andpliance requests
11. Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety standards and PPE requirements
12. Travelling regularly to sites across the UK and Ireland
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
13. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
14. JIB Approved Electrician status
15. Strong understanding of building regulations for electrical installations
16. Experience acrossmercial environments
17. Knowledge of generators, CCTV, and BMS systems
18. Ability to carry out inspection, testing, and fault-finding works
19. Strong organisational and time management skills
20. Full UK driving licence
21. Flexibility to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland
Desirable (but not essential):
22. Previous experience in a multi-site or facilities role
23. Ability to carry out PAT testing and thermal imaging testing
24. CSR card
25. Experience across domestic,mercial, and industrial installations
