Overview
BP Rolls Newport is seeking a skilled HGV Trailer Technician to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, re-assembling and maintenance of HGV trailers, ensuring all works meet safety and performance standards as well as agreed timescales. Your contribution will support our fleet maintenance commitments and enhance our productivity to Customers.
Responsibilities
* Build, repair, and modify HGV and commercial vehicle bodies / Trailers to a high standard
* Perform welding and fabrication tasks to ensure structural integrity.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on trailer equipment.
* Ensure final checks and quality inspections are conducted on all completed work
* Lift heavy components as part of the assembly and repair processes.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed, parts used.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a trailer technician / body builder in a similar role, minimum 3 years.
* Strong skills in welding, fabrication, and assembly techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong team player, takes initiative, works collaboratively
