JOB TITLE: Clinical Lead

GRADE: Equivalent to NHS band 7

HOURS: 20 hours per week (2.5 days)

SALARY: £200 per day

LOCATION: Remote / Hybrid (Desirable: Oxfordshire/Bucks)

RESPONSIBLE TO: CEO

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Board of Trustees (Clinical Governance)

CONTRACT TYPE: This role will initially be offered on a freelance basis for the duration our upcoming pilot

after which there is potential for the position to transition to a permanent, payrolled

team member.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

:

As we move to the next stage or our development we are looking for a Clinical Lead to provide strategic and clinical leadership across our innovative mental health support services.



Are you an experienced, motivated and compassionate clinician with strong leadership skills who is passionate about improving outcomes?



Our Clinical Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping safe, effective and ethical clinical practice across the charity, supporting both staff and volunteers working with complex and vulnerable individuals.



You will provide high level clinical oversight, supervision and guidance, ensuring robust risk management, safeguarding and evidence based practice. You will work closely with senior leadership, partner organisations and external agencies to embed high standards of care, support service development and promote continuous quality improvement.




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Act as a professional role model, supporting Mentors to deliver high quality, person-centred and trauma informed care aligned with the charity’s mission and values
* Provide clinical leadership, advice and decision making support across Been There’s services
* Offer regular clinical supervision (individual and group) and contribute to team development
* Ensure robust assessment, safeguarding and risk management processes are embedded and maintained
* Liaise effectively with partner agencies, clinicians and external stakeholders
* Contribute to the development, monitoring and review of clinical policies, procedures and standards
* Supporting training delivery and promoting best practice across the organisation
* Using audit, reflection and learning to continuously improve service quality and outcomes




QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


* Registered Mental Health Care professional; Mental healthcare nurse, Psychologist/Psychotherapist/Therapist/Counsellor, Social worker or equivalent
* Must have current UK professional registration: HCPC, NMC, BACP, UKCP or equivalent.
* Significant post qualification clinical experience, including work with complex mental health presentations.
* Demonstrable experience of providing clinical leadership, supervision and governance.
* Strong knowledge of trauma informed practice, recovery models and safeguarding.
* Experience of working within multidisciplinary and/or multi-agency environments.
* A management/leadership qualification would be desirable but not essential
