Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership of the Cambridge locality teams, supporting working-age adults with moderate to severe affective and psychotic disorders.
The team offers care-coordination, daily duty service, psychiatric assessments, medication reviews, ongoing risk management, care planning, support around benefits and housing, family work, and therapeutic interventions.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be fully involved in ensuring the service delivers coordinated care, providing support to clinicians, managing complex cases, and promoting positive interfaces with other teams.
They will also deliver supervision, foster a supportive work environment, and ensure the service is a positive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive assessment of mental health specific to the needs of the service area.
* Lead in clinical areas with specialist knowledge of interventions.
* Work in partnership with other agencies to achieve person-centred outcomes.
* Communicate with and meet the needs of families and carers.
* Maintain appropriate records of assessment and treatment.
* Manage a caseload of clients with complex mental health needs.
* Participate in clinical, business, and service meetings.
* Provide professional leadership and develop a clinical supervision structure.
* Use knowledge of practice development principles to promote quality developments.
* Promote evidence-based approaches to improve practice.
Person Specification
Qualification
* Professional qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, psychology, OT, or Social Work.
* Degree or extensive clinical experience.
* Leadership Qualification.
* Psychological Therapy qualification training.
Experience
* Extensive experience of providing interventions to people.
* Experience of working in the community.
* Experience of leading staff or teams in practice improvement.
* Lived experience of mental health.
Skills and Abilities
* Advanced skills in assessment, planning, and therapeutic intervention.
* Advanced skills in problem-solving and clinical risk management.
* Experience in audits.
