Bennett & Game Recruitment are proud to partner with a specialist remediation and enabling works contractor currently seeking a Graduate Remediation Engineer or Remediation Engineer to join their growing team. This role suits a technically focused individual who enjoys working outdoors and is passionate about delivering real on-site environmental improvements. It is primarily site-based with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
The Role - Graduate Remediation Engineer / Remediation Engineer
* Support the technical delivery of remediation and enabling projects
* Ensure environmental controls and engineering best practices are upheld
* A practical and varied role from site setup to reporting and verification
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with remediation strategies, method statements & risk assessments
* Support Materials Management Plans & permit/licence applications
* Supervise site activities (earthworks, drilling, excavation, etc.)
* Conduct environmental monitoring (soil, water, gas, noise, dust)
* Operate & maintain soil/water treatment systems
* Sample scheduling, analysis & assessment against project criteria
* GPS surveying & accurate site record keeping
* Liaise with clients, regulators & third-party verifiers
* Compile data for completion reports & health & safety documentation
Requirements:
* Graduate Remediation Engineer:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, Civil Engineering or similar
* Strong interest in environmental engineering
* Valid UK driving licence
Remediation Engineer:
* 2-5 years' experience in remediation, site investigation or environmental consultancy
* On-site experience with monitoring, sampling, and earthworks
* Knowledge of remediation methods & environmental compliance
* Report writing & use of environmental monitoring tools
Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
