This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham. You must reside within a suitable commuting distance and hold correct right‑to‑work documents to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not supported.
Position Summary
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of the most vulnerable children and young people through the delivery of high‑quality services.
* Manage a complex caseload of children and young people, ensuring legislative requirements are met.
* Collect, accurately record, and critically analyse all relevant information using management information systems, taking appropriate actions to fulfil statutory responsibilities.
* Ensure the well‑being and safety of children and young people is paramount through comprehensive assessments that comply with statutory requirements.
* Plan and coordinate care and protection arrangements for children in need of protection and children in care with multi‑agency partners.
* Monitor and review multi‑agency meetings and children’s plans to ensure needs are being met.
* Apply the College of Social Work’s ASYE Year 1 programme, the Professional Capability Framework and the Social Work England Code of Practice for Social Workers.
* Ensure meetings are proactive, timely and meet the child/young person’s needs, wishes and feelings.
* Accurately record, report and communicate evidence‑based information in accordance with statutory and organisational requirements.
