What you ll be doing This isn t just another housing management role it s a unique opportunity to shape the future of housing services at One Fylde and to lead a small (but mighty!) team to have a huge impact. Based at our Libra House offices in Blackpool, with flexibility to work from home, you ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional housing experiences that empower our tenants to live independently and with dignity, in houses they re proud to call their homes. You ll be leading our integrated Housing Department, which encompasses both Housing and Property Services. As the leader, you will directly manage our passionate Housing Customer Services Manager and the dedicated Property and Compliance Leads. You ll steer a department that is committed to championing resident engagement, delivering exceptional responsive repairs, and executing a robust planned maintenance and compliance programme. About you This role will suit you if you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong organisational and time-management abilities. You must be capable of producing concise and accurate reports and have an appetite for improvement. This role is perfect for someone with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ideally a tried and tested approach to working in partnership to develop great teams and produce great results. Flexibility will be key, as you'll need to find solutions on the fly while ensuring the delivery of top-notch repairs, voids, and planned works. You ll be line managed by our Director of Places and People Gemma Smith, who is looking for a skilled, experienced housing leader to feed into her Housing Strategy and lead the housing team to deliver those objectives. With over 20 years experience as a senior leader in the housing and healthcare sectors, Gemma has both the operational know-how and the creative, compassionate leadership skills to harness potential. You ll become a valued, integral member of Gemma s Places & People directorate, and part of a friendly, welcoming and dedicated wider office team. Summary of essential skills and qualifications Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIH level 5/RICS/NEBOSH) or equivalent experience. Minimum of five years experience in leading a high-performing team within a challenging environment. A strong understanding of housing regulations and law. Extensive knowledge of building maintenance, property management, compliance, and contractor engagement.
