Where you fit in - As our Governance, Assurance & Process Lead, you will be responsible for creating the strategy and framework for policy ownership, change requests, and overall governance within Central Control. You will implement a robust and assured governance framework, including associated policies, processes, and procedures As our Governance, Assurance & Process Lead you will be responsible for - Creating the overall strategy and framework for policy ownership, change requests, and governance for Central Control. Delivering accessible, efficient, and compliant policies and procedures for Central Control. Managing overall governance and compliance with policies and procedures. Positively influencing stakeholders when managing external policies and procedures. Ensuring the effective roll out, implementation, and deployment of auditable processes to achieve 100% compliance consistently. Leading monthly governance meetings to table change proposals, review adherence and audits, and share best practices. Taking ownership of ensuring operational stakeholders are compliant and that existing known risks are being mitigated through regular reviews and assessments. Managing and tracking overall compliance, including providing accurate performance and risk reports to senior stakeholders and proposing mitigation strategies. Auditing for process adherence, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for failures, and creating and owning action plans for future mitigation (including stand-downs, policy amendments, etc.), while identifying and sharing Continuous Improvement (CI) learning opportunities. Providing reports that clearly demonstrate compliance to key stakeholders for their teams and actions. Supporting the development of a new Incident Management System and subsequently taking accountability for its overall governance, including action tracking and standards. Supporting debriefs and the identification of lessons learned, producing reports on implemented changes to prevent repeat incidents. Conducting external benchmarking within and outside the water industry to develop and implement industry-leading principles for process, policy, and governance. What skills & qualifications you will need: Relevant skills/professional qualifications and experience in risk, compliance, business process mapping or business architecture etc. Strong influencing skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and influence senior management. Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other data reporting platforms. Able to analyse and interpret data to create meaningful outputs and recommendations. Excellent stakeholder skills able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders Ability to work without close supervision and to agreed targets and standards. Experience in supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours. Ability to focus on specific activities while understanding the wider impact of service delivery to all customers. Excellent time management skills to meet competing project deadlines. Strong team mentality, with a willingness to support and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes. Diligent with strong attention to detail.
