Overview
The Postholder will lead the compliance and delivery of Estates and Building Engineering services across approximately 80 community property sites within the NCA estate portfolio. The role ensures reliable power, lighting, water, medical gas supplies, heating, cooling and ventilation to support patient care and clinical operations.
Responsibilities
* Manage mechanical/electrical and building fabric services across a range of community properties.
* Ensure safe systems of work in line with HTM, HBN and recognised codes of practice.
* Act as Authorised Person for lifts, ventilation systems, working at height, water and pressure systems.
* Oversee landlords and specialist 3rd party contractors and manage direct‑employed maintenance staff.
* Lead specific projects such as minor works, refurbishments and new site developments.
Qualifications
* HNC/HND in a mechanical, electrical, or building discipline or equivalent experience.
* NVQ3 in Electrical Installations / Mechanical systems / Buildings Maintenance or equivalent experience.
Desirable
* Degree in a building services or engineering discipline.
* IOSH or similar Health and Safety Management.
* Chartered status or working toward chartered status.
Experience
* Previous experience managing direct‑employed staff and contractors on breakdowns and PPM in mechanical/electrical or building disciplines.
Benefits
Competitive salary £55,690 to £62,682 per annum, permanent full‑time contract, flexible working and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities.
