Looking to gain hands-on experience in a truly rewarding setting? Prospero Teaching are recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary school in Gorton supporting pupils aged 11 - 18 with complex needs, including autism, medical conditions, and learning disabilities. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be part of a skilled and compassionate team that makes school a safe, structured and inspiring place for every learner.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and group support across a range of subjects and settings
* Help pupils with personal care, sensory regulation and communication needs
* Use visual aids, routines and consistent boundaries to support learning
* Work closely with teachers, therapists and families to meet EHCP targets
* Celebrate progress, however small, with patience and positivity
Who Were Looking For
* Experience or interest in SEND education or care work
* Resilient, empathetic and confident in a dynamic environment
* Team player with strong communication skills
* Level 2/3 TA qualification or psychology/education background beneficial
Eligibility
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
