Available Positions
Two student sonographer positions available – one at North Tyneside General Hospital and another at Wansbeck General Hospital. Base site to be discussed during interview.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete the Post Graduate Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound to become an autonomous practitioner contributing to the sonographer‑led service.
* Undertake the full required clinical caseload of the Trust, excluding the most complex interventions performed by medical staff.
* Manage the patient pathway for designated referrals, prepare comprehensive reports of findings, seek appropriate advice if required, and ensure communication with appropriate clinicians.
* Take responsibility for image archiving and electronic data management generated during procedures.
