Workshop Engineer (Plant / Vehicle Mechanic / Technician / Maintenance)
Location: Henfield, West Sussex
Salary: Up to GBP 38,000 (DOE) plus overtime, 22 days holiday, company van, fuel card, bank holidays, contributory pension, health care package, training.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00.
Responsibilities
* Carry out maintenance on all plant machinery, including vehicles and equipment from larger excavators to small plant, tools and generators.
* Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on plant and associated equipment.
* Handle 70% workshop-based work and 30% field work, mainly along the southeast coast.
* Occasionally work overtime, including weekends, on a 24/7 operational schedule.
Qualifications
* Mechanically biased with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent/above) in a related mechanical subject.
* Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
* Background in plant, HGVs, motor mechanics (car/van), small tools (garden machinery) or similar.
