You will be joining a privately-owned and multi-accredited civil engineering contractor based in Birmingham specialising in the delivery of major infrastructure projects across the Midlands region. This multi-sector and established contractor has a strong orderbook and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office with the option for hybrid working.
Your new role
As Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, from pre-construction through topletion
2. Acting as the main point of contact between clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
3. Ensuring all works arepleted in accordance with health & safety legislation,pany policies and industry best practice
4. Monitoring and reporting on project progress, programme, budgets, risks and resources
5. Reviewing and managing contracts, ensuringpliance and managing any disputes or variations
6. Supporting themercial team with valuations, cost control, procurement and change management
7. Leading and attending client meetings, progress reviews and project handovers
8. Ensuring QA andpliance standards are met across all projects.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
9. Experience as a Contracts Manager within the civil engineering industry, ideally on large-scale projects
10. Strong knowledge of civil engineering methods and practices
11. Familiarity with NEC contracts
12. Excellent leadership, organisational andmunication skills
13. Client-facing experience with a focus on building long-term relationships.
